The ESW doors are designed for coastal properties where hurricane protection is a key consideration. According to the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety, impact-rated windows and doors can reduce the risk of catastrophic hurricane damage to a home by more than 80 percent. The double-leaf design also gives homeowners and contractors greater flexibility when choosing an entryway for properties exposed to wind and moisture.

The doors combine impact protection with features designed for durability, comfort, and energy efficiency. The ESW double-leaf swing door has a 1¾-inch panel depth and T5/T6 aluminum alloy frame, with heat-strengthened glass included as standard. Tecnoglass Low-E insulated glass is also available to help reduce heat transfer and energy use. The door also comes with sound-reducing features designed to minimize outside noise.

Buyers can also customize the door to suit different architectural styles and entryway requirements. Available options include colonial, Brittany, and full-view grid styles, along with anodized, painted, and wood-grain finishes. Two standard sizes are offered: 74½ by 80⅝ inches and 74½ by 96½ inches. White and bronze frame colors and clear, gray, Low-E, or privacy glass options are also available.

For added flexibility, sidelites can be incorporated to expand the entryway and change its appearance. Installation options include retrofit, concrete, and wood construction, with flush, flange, and fin frame configurations available. Hardware and fasteners are designed to withstand corrosion from salt and humidity exposure.

Impact Windows Center also works with contractors and builders on projects requiring additional options. Trade pricing is available for new construction, while custom sizing can accommodate dimensions outside the standard configurations. The company also offers a broader catalog of door and window products.

According to a company representative, the door includes a five- to ten-year glass warranty and a ten-year warranty on the paint finish, including coastal applications.
